Bob on Holiday in the Garden

near Tegg's Nose, visiting the garden whilst on a 'weekend break'

Halloween Harvest

Picked today: Leeks, Beetroot, Sweetcorn, Tomatoes, Runner Beans, Raspberries, Blackcurrants

The start of Autumn

Badgers, Keep Out!

Badgers ate ALL of our parsnips, carrots and artichokes!

Badger experts were consulted, defences were put in place,  still they came!

The defences were reinforced, a wooden barrier was damaged,

but the metalwork behind it held firm

Ice cream weather

Enjoying ice cream, sun and 25 degrees centigrade today were Fiona, Jeff, Sue and Tom

Green Garden

Enjoying a warm day in the garden were Bridget, Jeff, Lindsay, Sheila and Tom

Today's harvest included peas, baby carrots, rhubarb and globe artichoke

Bunny Hop

Luckily NOT in the KRIV Community Garden at Savio House, caught on camera,

a baby rabbit, in Tom's own garden early this morning.

The entrances to the community garden are guarded by rabbit netting,

but we are still troubled by a parsnip-loving badger, as yet unseen.

Sun on the Terrace

Enjoying good weather in the garden in the past couple of days have been

Bridget, Jeff, John G, Lindsay and Al, Tom and Fiona, Sheila and Sue

In new terraced beds by the south facing wall are, so far, tomatoes, runner beans,

blackcurrants, blackberry, cherry  blueberries, asparagus
(cucumber and courgettes pictured on 8 May were eaten by something!)
